Associate Director: Evaluation
Want to build a business where every voice counts, and contribute to improving the most complex and controversial of public projects?
Traverse helps organisations to understand what the communities and people affected think about their projects and proposals. We use transparent processes and evidence-based tools to engage and weigh every voice, personal and professional, whether loudly proclaimed or seldom heard. We work with governmental, third sector and businesses delivering public services or social change. Our clients rely on us when the issues are thorny and good decisions matter; from health and social care integration, workforce challenges, social isolation to the future of energy generation.
Traverse was established in 1989 as the UK’s first employee-owned “public interest” company. Today, we are a highly successful and fast-growing evaluation, research and consultancy organisation. We are passionate about making a difference and this passion motivates us to deliver high quality services and outcomes for our clients.
We are currently seeking an Associate Director to further build our leading-edge evaluation business and act as project director to deliver high quality for our clients. This role will cross a range of sectors to help deliver our organisational mission and fulfil our social purpose.
The core role will involve directing complex and sensitive projects and supporting and overseeing the work of project managers and consultants. The post holder will also be instrumental in expanding our business within specifically chosen and rapidly growing key policy areas, winning new business, building contacts and consolidating our reputation for leading edge, academically rigorous and client focused work.
You will need extensive, demonstrable experience of the operations, policies and challenges facing your specialist area, a proven track record of successful business development and the flexibility and adaptability to work across a range of disciplines and sectors, potentially taking on areas which make use of your expertise in new ways.
Remuneration & Benefits
Salary: £51-£84k+ dependent on role and experience.
We also operate a very generous holiday and benefits scheme; more details are available in the job pack available here.
We also fully support flexible working. While core hours will be required, these roles may be performed from any location in the UK. Our main office is based in London, but remote working may be a possibility.
